This is a guide on replacing the TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensor) battery on a Kawasaki Concours 14. Shown here is a 2011.
For the rear tire I was generally able to push the bead of one side of the tire over to the opposing rim by hand, being careful to clear the sensor. I used a normal wood clamp to hold the tire in this position.
Then simply undo the hex head in the center of the sensor and it will come out easily.
Next, open the sensor up by undoing the single screw under the sticker and carefully opening the clips with a small flat head screwdriver (2 in the center where the valve stem goes through, one on the rounded end of the sensor).
Carefully pry the electronics out of the housing.
Replace the dead coin cell with a fresh one. Use a coin cell with tabs welded to it to avoid soldering directly to the battery.
Installation is opposite of removal.
